On, September 20th 2017, I met with the high school coordinator (Amy Jones) along with several other administrators and helped revamp the new district Learning Walk calibration tool. We met at a local K-8, and as teams of 4, we observed classrooms and then reflected on what administrators should look for during learning walks. During my residency year, I have used this new learning walk tool. In order to establish and achieve high expectations for students, l was able to lead discussions about standards for curriculum, instruction, and assessment based on research and best practices.

2B: Focus on Instructional Time:
The school executive creates processes and schedules which protect teachers from disruption of instructional or preparation time.
Along with Mrs. Woods, EC teachers, and resources teachers, I helped to on and draft a new master schedule for Northeast. In addition, second semester, I used resources to alter, create, and implement a “push-in” schedule. This created processes and a new schedule to protect teachers and allow for more instructional time. In addition, the push-in schedule was used to generate more effective use of teaching geared towards bubble students in order to raise students’ achievement.
