As evidenced below, during the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Achievement week program, I presented the current Teacher of the Year with a plaque for her outstanding achievement, along with our Assistant Superintendent, NC State House Rep. Graham, and many other local community members. In addition, after reaching out to our local Goodwill organization, I had them donate much needed school supplies to Northeast students and in return the students wrote beautiful thank you cards that are located on the tables. Lastly, I had a local community minister come and do a science lesson for our second grade students. She is pictured in the wheel chair. Lastly, Mrs. Woods and I discussed the goals for the year with staff members. We scheduled 1-1 meetings and discussed staff concerns, expectations and other useful information. Then the new principal outlined her expectations and goals as we began to transition for the new school year. Each staff member shared their “why” and as a school we evaluated our mission and vision to fit our school goals for the 2017-2018 school year.
